Danny attended Swansea University, where he completed an LLB, LLM in Advanced Drafting and LPC, and is a fluent Welsh speaker. He has over seven years’ experience working in dispute resolution and litigation, including property disputes, personal injury and a secondment within Risk and Compliance. After qualifying as a solicitor, Danny joined Carbon Law Partners, bringing a practical and client-focused approach to corporate and commercial law.
WHAT DO YOU ENJOY ABOUT BEING A LAWYER?
I have a very practical and logical approach to problem solving. These skills are invaluable for finding creative solutions to any queries my clients may have for me. I get a real sense of pride from helping clients and businesses identify their goals and then setting out a clear blueprint to achieving them.
WHAT IS IMPORTANT TO YOU ABOUT YOUR WORK?
I feel it’s important to always bring your best self for your clients, as the legal world can be frustrating and sometimes daunting place for our clients. With that in mind, I think it’s important to always be the one my clients can trust will lead them through the legal process efficiently and effectively to their goals.
WHAT DO YOUR CLIENTS LIKE ABOUT YOU AND THE WAY YOU WORK?
I think one of my best qualities is that I am very personable (I’m told I could talk for Wales!) and enjoy making complex legal and commercial issues simple for my clients. I genuinely enjoy picking up the phone and speaking with my clients to clearly identify their objectives and map out a way to achieve their goals.
My clients know that I will always use clear and precise language when advising them on legal and commercial matters, and that I will always put my best foot forward for them, guiding them every step of the way while they are under my care.
WHAT ATTRACTED YOU TO JOINING CARBON LAW PARTNERS?
The main attraction for me was that the leadership at Carbon Law Partners very obviously want to break the traditional mould of what a law firm is expected to be. That ambition, combined with the opportunities available to develop and grow as a lawyer, made it an easy decision for me.
I cannot see any other direction for the firm other than upwards, and I wanted to be a part of that growth.
AND WHEN YOU ARE NOT WORKING?
My personal life predominantly revolves around date nights with my wife, walks with my dachshund, Dougie, watching football with friends at my local pub, and (trying) to keep fit in my local CrossFit and Hyrox gym. I’ll also take any opportunity I can to travel – I love to see what the world has to offer!
I’m also a (badly) self-taught guitarist, so you can catch me at my local pub’s weekly Open Mic Night playing (or butchering!) some classic singalongs.
