TELL US A BIT MORE ABOUT YOUR CAREER TO DATE / IN LAW?
I have been working in the Bristol legal market for over 20 years starting as a paralegal and progressing to partner at well respected mid-tier firm.
WHAT DREW YOU TOWARDS LITIGATION?
Litigation can be incredibly daunting, and a number of my clients have not been involved in a legal dispute before. Whilst it is satisfying to win a case at trial, it is important to remember that few cases reach that stage. Assisting a client to successfully reach a settlement of a dispute to take away the pressure of litigation and the associated risk and cost is incredibly rewarding.
WHAT DO YOUR CLIENTS LIKE ABOUT YOU AND THE WAY YOU WORK?
Communication is key be it with your client or the other side. Clients find themselves subject to or pursuing, litigation for a variety of reasons. It is essential to understand your client’s objectives and work with them to achieve a successful outcome.
AND WHEN YOU ARE NOT WORKING?
I regularly attend music festivals and am also a musical theatre geek! Where as I was once I keen runner, I have swapped this for walking and recently completed a 47 mile walk from Hunstanton to Cromer.
ANY LIFE-LONG AMBITIONS?
After seeing it on Blue Peter, I have wanted to swim the Bosphorus!
