Describe your role and general skill set…
I am the “go to” person for all Partners and their employees. From onboarding Partners, showing people around the systems, “how do I do”, “where is this”, “my PC isn’t doing XYZ…”, I am here to cover all operational questions and needs and no question is too stupid to be asked!
What do you enjoy about your job?
I love pretty much everything about my job. I have always been the “go to” person in every job that I have and working here is pretty much my dream job come to life.
What attracted you to the firm?
Actually, I was headhunted into the company by Michael personally. I was looking to join with one of the Partners as part of their team and was instead offered the role of Operations Manager as Michael saw my potential for the role.
Describe Carbon in a maximum of three words:
Passionate, united, knowledgeable.
Where do you envisage the firm in 5 years’ time?
Bigger and better. I see the firm growing to twice if not 3 times the size it currently is.
What was your first job, and what did you learn from it?
I worked at Colliers Rover… I quickly learnt that no man wanted to hear what was wrong with his car from an 18 year old female, but would nod sagely to a man telling them the exact same thing!
What have been the highlights of your career to date?
Recognition of hard work. To speak to someone in a firm who you have never met before and be told “I have heard great things about you from XYZ” is an amazing feeling. Law firms are notoriously “small” and so many lawyers know other lawyers and they TALK!!! Word gets around 😊.
How do you unwind outside of work?
One of my biggest passions is reading. I read about 100 odd books a year. I love motorsports (especially on a sunny day); eating quality food; and spending time with family and friends.
Where is your favourite place to visit?
The theatre.

Favourite book: Anne of Green Gables

Favourite Music, Artist or Band?
Blue October.
I have very wide-ranging tastes in music, from heavy rock groups like Disturbed and Nickelback, cheesy 80s, classical and easy listening.
If you could gain a new skill or superpower, what would you choose?
I would be fluent in every language and dialect known. To be able to talk to someone in their native language and break down any language barriers would be the best.
Do you have a bucket list place you’d love to visit?
Prince Edward Island, Canada.
If you had a time machine, where would you go and why?
Back to 1994 to buy shares in Amazon… I could have retired by now.
