I quickly realised that a contentious legal career was not for me and that I thrive in environments where people work together and where I can help people navigate their legal issues in a collaborative way. I was drawn to private client roles from the very beginning as usually everyone involved is working towards the same end goal.

AND YOUR CLIENTS?

I love working with different types of people in all stages of life from first time buyers who are just starting out to couples entering retirement who may be downsizing or looking at their estate planning. I’ve also developed a great network of property investors and small business owners who come back to me again and again.

WHAT DO YOU ENJOY ABOUT BEING A LAWYER?

It can be daunting as a lay person navigating a legal matter and it’s lovely to be able to simplify the process and guide clients through the processes to make them that little bit less stressful.

WHAT IS IMPORTANT TO YOU ABOUT YOUR WORK?

It’s important to me that we maintain the highest quality standards in legal services. Our legal system is complex and when a client places their trust in me to act in their best interests and give them the best advice I take that responsibility seriously.

AND WHEN YOU ARE NOT WORKING?

Once I’ve put in enough time at the gym to counteract the time spent at a desk I am usually found curled up with a good book or in the kitchen, cooking or baking something delicious to eat.

WHAT DO YOUR CLIENTS LIKE ABOUT YOU AND THE WAY YOU WORK?

Communication is key. The most frequent feedback I get from clients is that they appreciate my availability to answer their questions whether by phone or an email that they know will be answered quickly or even in person. Any legal matter is likely a stressful thing to navigate and so keeping clients updated every step of the way really makes everything easier for everyone.
