Describe your role and general skill set…
Operations Director. My skills are Leadership, Project Management, Technology implementation and Change Management.
What do you enjoy about your job?
Working with the people, the variety and ambitious nature of our plans.

Outstanding, ambitious, purposeful.
Where do you envisage the firm in 5 years’ time?
Blended consultancy and employed legal services, with significant implementation of tech to support quality delivery. I imagine circa 300 people with revenue around £25m.
What was your first job, and what did you learn from it?
Insurance broker. I learned customer facing skills, applied financial skill and how to behave in a professional environment. Most of the senior people in my first proper job were real role models.
What have been the highlights of your career to date?
I helped event manage the Queen Mother’s final ever public appearance on the Ark Royal.
I started my own business, failed, started again and succeeded to sale.

How do you unwind outside of work?
I love golf, but don’t get time at the moment. I really enjoy the gym and spending time with my wife and family. We love to travel so that’s important.
Where is your favourite place to visit?
I love Cornwall, although most of the time I spent there was in a previous marriage, so I’d love to go back with my wife now and enjoy it properly.
What is your favourite Book, movie or TV Show?
Terry Pratchett and most crime novels! I’ve seen Robocop 37 times – the original.
Favourite Music, Artist or Band?
I’m an old-school hip hop guy, so Young MC, Big Daddy Kane, KRS One and other rude ones like NWA!
If you could gain a new skill or superpower, what would you choose?
Self-confidence.
Do you have a bucket list place you’d love to visit?
New Zealand.
If you had a time machine, where would you go and why?
I’d love to go to South America when the Mayans were around, so I can see first-hand what they were like.
