Expertise
Residential Conveyancing. Commercial Conveyancing. Company Secretarial.
Cindi specialises in conveyancing, with a particular focus on residential conveyancing of high value properties within the Central London area. She ran her own property practice for over 6 years before joining the community at Carbon Law Partners. She deals with all aspects of leasehold and freehold property transactions, for individuals and investors, including sale and purchase, grant and assignment of leases, lease extensions, transfers of equity, auction transactions, and new builds.
She assists companies and individuals with obtaining apostille certificates through the Foreign & Commonwealth (FCO) Legalisation Office, alongside the review of company documentation for legal opinions and ultimate beneficial owner statements.
You’re obviously a property enthusiast! What would you say your specialism is?
Residential conveyancing and working with professional intermediaries (such as wealth management firms, family offices, accountants, tax advisors, and mortgage brokers) to help their clients buy their dream homes and investment properties. It’s great to be part of that!
How do you make a difference for your clients?
I pride myself on being responsive, proactive and managing expectations. Effective and clear communication is so important in a property transaction. I am personally involved with my clients and do everything I can to help minimise stress and risk. I am highly motivated to provide the best service possible for clients, who never have to chase me for updates. I am usually the one doing the chasing!
What do you enjoy outside being a lawyer?
I have always enjoyed helping people and volunteering. I was on the trustee board of my local citizens advice bureaux for 13 years, acting as Treasurer and sitting on various working groups. Having taken a break from the trusteeship in September 2021, I intend to re-join the board in late 2022. I was also a Special Constable with the Metropolitan Police for 5 years involved in plain clothes operations and policed during the London Riots. It was certainly a juggling act working a full week and then doing a 12-hour shift at the weekends!
