Carbon Law Partners has strengthened its specialist leasehold and property management capability with the addition of a new team based in Nottingham, advising clients nationally across England and Wales.
The team focuses on business‑critical property matters, working closely with managing agents, freeholders, landlords and property owners on the day‑to‑day legal issues that sit at the heart of effective property and portfolio management. Their work spans lease extensions, service charge and ground rent recovery, landlord and tenant disputes, and wider property litigation, combining advisory and contentious expertise.
The team is led by Andrea White, Head of Lease Extensions, and James Wren, Head of Service Recovery. Between them, Andrea and James bring over 20 years’ experience supporting clients operating across the leasehold and investment property sector.
Commenting on the team’s arrival, Michael Burne, CEO of Carbon Law Partners, said:
“We are delighted to welcome Andrea, James and their team to Carbon. Their arrival reflects our continued investment in specialist capability and our focus on areas where sector knowledge, consistency and practical delivery really matter to clients.
Strengthening our leasehold and property management offering is an important part of our growth strategy, and enhances the service we can provide to managing agents, freeholders and property owners nationally. Just as importantly, it demonstrates our commitment to backing experienced specialists within a forward thinking and flexible firm.”
Andrea leads the team’s lease extensions practice, advising on both statutory and informal lease extensions across residential and mixed‑use portfolios. She works closely with freeholders and landlords on strategic leasehold issues, supporting clients ranging from individual asset owners through to large‑scale property investors and estate managers.
James heads up the team’s service recovery offering, specialising in the recovery of service charges and ground rent, as well as the resolution of landlord and tenant disputes. His experience includes property litigation, arrears recovery strategies and dispute resolution – helping clients protect income streams, manage risk and maintain the effective operation of their property portfolios.
Together, the team provides end‑to‑end support across the lifecycle of leasehold and managed property, combining technical expertise with a practical, commercially focused approach. While based in Nottingham, they advise clients nationwide, reflecting Carbon’s UK‑wide platform and commitment to specialist service delivery.
The arrival of Andrea, James and their team further strengthens Carbon’s growing property offering and underlines the firm’s continued investment in experienced specialists operating from key regional hubs.
