TELL US A BIT MORE ABOUT YOUR CAREER TO DATE / IN LAW?
I am fortunate to have worked in this area of law for nearly two decades and I still love it. Moving house is stressful as so much is outside of your control. It doesn’t need to be made worse by uncommunicative lawyers that don’t pick up the phone and speak to each other. I fully identify clients needs by taking the time to discuss all requirements and manage expectations. I am very practical and provide clear and sympathetic advice.
AND YOUR CLIENTS?
Growing up in Dorset and having worked in the Poole / Bournemouth / Salisbury /Southampton / Winchester area I am fortunate to have wide knowledge and expertise of property in that area, particularly high value transactions where septic tanks/cess pits/thatched roofs etc are the norm. I also have many first-time buyers who appreciate having their hands held and being spoken to without using complicated legal jargon. I have many longstanding clients and great connections with agents and brokers. I enjoy acting for other lawyers/business owners moving home and also still feel very satisfied when I call first time buyers to say the keys have been released you can collect them!
WHAT DO YOU ENJOY ABOUT BEING A LAWYER?
I enjoy the fast pace and the satisfaction of helping people realise their dreams by moving them into their forever homes. I bring a human aspect to the process and am happy to assist with any conveyancing query. It is hugely satisfying when the process finally comes together and keys are released.
WHAT IS IMPORTANT TO YOU ABOUT YOUR WORK?
I think it is important to understand humans. Conveyancing is up there with life’s stressful events. I am proactive and will communicate directly with you and give you practical advice on next steps to move your transaction along.
AND WHEN YOU ARE NOT WORKING?
You will find me stood on various football pitches around the country with my 3 boys or walking our 2 Jack Russells. I have also discovered a love for gardening!
WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY?
I am an absolute personal development bookworm. The beach, walks in the woods, cooking Sunday roast dinners for my family, clients often become life long friends when you work with me.
TELL US A LITTLE KNOWN FACT ABOUT YOURSELF?
I can balance metal spoons on my nose (pretty much any size, do not ask me how I know this)!
