Ben White has joined Carbon Law Partners as a Corporate, Commercial and Real Estate Partner bringing experience across business transactions, commercial agreements and real estate.
His approach starts with understanding the deal behind the documents.
Ben works with business owners, investors and lenders across corporate, commercial and real estate matters. His practice spans buying and selling businesses, contracts and commercial agreements, alongside property matters including leasing, finance and investment property.
Business transactions rarely fit neatly into one legal category. A company acquisition might also involve property, funding arrangements or new commercial agreements. Ben’s experience across these areas means he can look at the transaction as a whole, rather than each element in isolation.
Understanding the commercial objective
Ben’s clients range from owner-managed businesses buying and selling companies to private investors, property companies, developers, lenders, SIPP trustees and hospitality operators.
But what they want from their lawyer is often the same.
“They want a lawyer who understands the commercial deal, not just the documents, and who will get it over the line.”
That commercial approach is matched by direct communication. Clients work with Ben throughout their matter, with clear conversations about the risks and realistic options from the outset.
Experience across business and property
Ben’s experience includes acquisitions and disposals of owner-managed businesses, hospitality asset purchases, real estate finance for UK and international lenders and multi-million-pound property transactions.
Having trained across corporate and commercial, commercial real estate and litigation before developing his own practice, Ben brings experience from several areas of law to the way he approaches transactions today.
At Carbon Law Partners, Ben White will continue supporting his longstanding clients while growing his mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and commercial practice with ambitious owner-managed businesses, investors and lenders.
A new home, with the same focus on clients
For Ben, joining Carbon is about continuing to build his practice without changing the responsive, commercial approach his clients already know.
Joining Carbon gives him the opportunity to continue looking after those longstanding clients while building the next stage of his practice.
As Ben put it when announcing his move:
“Same responsive approach, just a new home.”
Welcome to Carbon, Ben. We’re pleased you’re here and look forward to seeing the next stage of your practice develop.
