As we embark on the next stage of our development and growth we’re delighted to announce that Carbon Law Partners has been granted Alternative Business Structure (ABS) status by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
By becoming an ABS, we’ll be able to continue to offer equity participation to our Hub Team (non-lawyer staff), as well as considering opportunities for external funding for the onward development of our innovative business model.
Since 2018 not only have we doubled our Partnership from 15 to 30 Partners we have also increased the practice areas we cover from 10 to 19.
Michael Burne, Founder and Chief Executive of Carbon Law Partners, says: “I’m delighted to announce that Carbon has been granted ABS status. This is a key step in the ongoing evolution of our firm and marks the next chapter in the development of our business model.
“Clients are looking for more than just legal services from their law firms. They are looking for a range of advisory services that they may require at different stages of their growth. By converting to an ABS, as part of our wider group of companies we’re future-proofing Carbon and ensuring that we’re building flexibility into our approach of delivering high quality advice to our clients.
“This announcement follows the recent implementation of our stakeholder model, whereby Partners are able to own shares in the firm, and further enhances our offering to Partners and clients – making Carbon a more attractive place to work and for businesses and private clients to work with.”
